Mango Languages Trail Available

Texas A&M University – Commerce is pleased to announce the availability of Mango Languages on a trial basis, until Monday, November 9th. Mango Languages is a highly regarded, self-guided language and cultural learning resource with a strong emphasis on conversational immersion. Available through the A&M – Commerce Library’s website, it offers over 60 foreign languages, as well as 17 English as a second language courses. Mango Languages also includes unique culturally thematic specialty courses, such as Medical Spanish, Endangered Languages, and Soccer Celebration (Brazilian Portuguese), as well as useful features such as semantic color mapping, phonetic pop-ups, quizzes, Grammar Notes, and Culture Notes.
Additionally, Mango Languages includes the innovative Mango Premiere program, which teaches foreign languages with full-length international films. Mango Premiere focuses on four areas of language learning – vocabulary, grammar, phrases, and culture – all within the enjoyable experience of watching a movie. It also provides different ways to watch: “Movie Mode” enables the playing of a whole movie with subtitles (either in English, the language being learned, or both), while “Engage Mode” enables learning of each scene’s dialogue, part-by-part.
Please click here (https://proxy.tamuc.edu:2048/login?url=https://connect.mangolanguages.com/texas-a-and-m-/try/ba08643db) to start exploring Mango Languages, and make sure you do so before the Library’s trial ends on Monday, November 9th.
