[Students] FAFSA Applicants - Federal Student Loan Recipients: Past, Present and Future Borrowers

As spring winds down and we come to the end of the 14-15 academic year, some of you will be graduating this May. Congratulations! Some of you will graduate at the end of the summer- Congratulations! Your loan information is provided on the Student Aid Report you receive directly from the federal government each year you complete a FAFSA. If you have not done so in a while this is a perfect time to see what your loan history looks like.

How much have you borrowed overall? How much will your monthly payments be when you graduate?
It is recommended you visit https://studentloans.gov/myDirectLoan/index.action to see your loan history, check out all the information available to you are you prepare for the next step in your career - your graduation from A&M-Commerce.

Have a few minutes after you review your loan history?
The  " How to Manage Your Student Loans"<https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=flG4gFIiZzU> video is a great source of good tips. This video was produced by the Direct Loan agency and it takes only a couple of minutes.
Have a few additional minutes to spare? The Repayment: What to Expect"<https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oJHySMdXjxE> video is very good in giving you the 'what now that I am graduating?" information you may have.

Some of you will continue on to the 15-16 academic year graduating sometime in the near future. Now is also a good time to review your loan history to see where you are. You can do this at https://studentloans.gov/myDirectLoan/index.action. Keep this in your bookmarks and visit it regularly.

Have a couple of minutes to spare the "Responsible Borrowing<https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mTHtn0FRMWw>" video is a good refresher and the "Budgeting<https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6Ib-bdko5cE>" video is a starting point in getting prepared for the upcoming year.
