What is POODLE?
POODLE is a flaw in how browsers handle encryption. This flaw allows attackers to exploit the design of one of the methods used to encrypt traffic between your browser and a website to reveal sensitive information, including passwords.
What you need to do:
Check your preferred browsers vulnerability status at https://www.poodletest.com.
If your browser is vulnerable, please follow the directions for that browser below:
Internet Explorer
1. Open Internet Options by clicking Tools (alt+t) and then clicking Internet Options.
2. Click the Advanced tab.
3. Scroll down to the Security section and uncheck 'Use SSL 3.0' (also make sure 'Use SSL 2.0 is unchecked).
Mozilla Firefox
1. Within Firefox, click Help (alt+h), and then click About Firefox.
2. Allow Firefox to update and restart if needed.
3. Check PoodleTest<https://www.poodletest.com/> again.
4. If Firefox is still vulnerable, navigate to Firefox's SSL Control Add-On<https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/ssl-version-control/?src=api> website.
5. Click the 'Add to Firefox' button.
6. When you receive the Software Installation popup, click the 'Install' button.
Google Chrome
1. Click the Chrome menu button [Description: Description: Description: Chrome menu] (top-right), and then click About Google Chrome.
2. Wait for the update to install, and then click the 'Relaunch' button when it is available.
