Greetings Lions,
In an effort to promote safety awareness on our campus your Student Government Association and your Residence Hall Association have created a safety campaign for the month of October. This campaign is an effort to encourage students to be conscious of the decisions they are making, and to ensure that we as students are well informed of ways to keep ourselves safe!
SGA and RHA are asking for the students' help to spread Safety Tips around campus every week. We will be sending out a new "Safety Tip" every week during the month of October, and be on the look out for our "Safety Week" during the week of October 20, 2014<x-apple-data-detectors://14>!
SAFETY TIPS OF THE WEEK: Don't Roll! Stop and Walk! Look Both Ways!

· When attempting to cross a road via a crosswalk it is very important that you dismount your bicycle, longboard, or any other means of cross-campus travel. Not only is it illegal to RIDE through the crosswalk, it is also dangerous. You must give the driver time to see you and stop so that you can pass.

· When in your cars, please come to a complete stop when approaching the crosswalks and the lights are flashing. Once stopped, look both ways twice before proceeding. If the lights are not flashing, please proceed with caution and slow down just in case.
Our slogan to promote campus safety will be #ProtectYourPride!
We hope this finds you all doing well! Good luck on your classes!
