Dear Students,

General, Departmental, and Endowment Scholarships

Applying for general, departmental, and endowment scholarship
opportunities starts by completing our General Scholarship Application.
The deadline to apply for most university scholarships for the upcoming
academic year will be March 15. As new scholarship opportunities are
added daily, please check regularly for any new scholarship
opportunities that may become available. You may also log in to view
updates regarding your application status for various scholarship
opportunities during the application review process.

For information on how to access the General Scholarship Application,
please visit the General Scholarship Page
<http://www.tamuc.edu/admissions/tuitionCosts/financialAidandScholarship
s/scholarships/TexasAMUniversityCommerceScholarships/endowmentdepartment
alscholarships/generalScholarshipApplication.aspx> .

For detailed instructions on how to apply for the scholarships, please
read the General Scholarship Application Information PDF document
<http://www.tamuc.edu/admissions/tuitionCosts/financialAidandScholarship
s/scholarships/documents/GenScholarshipApplInfo.pdf> .

Although searching for opportunities using the General Scholarship
Application website is the best and most thorough way to find
scholarships, one can also use the Basic Search Tool
<http://www.tamuc.edu/admissions/tuitionCosts/financialAidandScholarship
s/scholarships/TexasAMUniversityCommerceScholarships/endowmentdepartment
alscholarships/scholarshipSearch.aspx> on our website that separates
the scholarships by major, and by some categories such as 'general' and
'undergraduate'.

Outside Scholarships

There is a growing list of outside scholarship opportunities on the
Outside Scholarship List
<http://www.tamuc.edu/admissions/tuitionCosts/financialAidandScholarship
s/scholarships/outsideScholarships/outsideScholarshipsList.aspx> .
Remember to keep checking the list, as scholarships are added all the
time.

There are several with deadlines in March and April. Remember to always
prepare early enough to meet the deadlines!

These deadlines are now also posted on the University Calendar
<http://ems.tamuc.edu/MasterCalendar/default.aspx> as part of the
Financial Aid & Scholarships Calendar.

Also you can use the websites listed on the Outside Scholarship
Directories
<http://tamuc.edu/admissions/tuitionCosts/financialAidandScholarships/sc
holarships/outsideScholarships/outsideScholarshipsDirectories.aspx>

because many scholarships are added in between these updates.

I have heard that if you capture a leprechaun, they must lead you to
their pot of scholarships. But beware, some leprechauns will try to
give you gold instead, and who would want that?
