[Students] Government Shut Down!

[Cathy G Haynsworth]

Two weeks ago, our nation entered a Government Shut Down! Just hearing the words “Government Shut Down” has a tendency to shock and strike fear in most Americans, especially young adults.

Therefore, in an effort to bring understanding and clarity to exactly what a Government Shut Down is, why it occurred, it’s implications, and it’s Global affects, the Texas A&M University-Commerce Chapter of the National Association of Colored People (NAACP) and the National Association of Colored Women’s Club (NACWC) will host an informational seminar entitled “Shut Down! For What?”

A select panel of professionals from the campus community and the city of Commerce will provide an opportunity to bring awareness and answer questions from the audience.

Please join us during this educational and impactful event!
