[Students] Adopt a Unit is back!

[TAMU-Commerce Students]

Adopt-A-Unit

2013

It's back! Last year was such a huge success that we wanted to continue
our Adopt-a-unit program this year. Last year 25 boxes went out to a
deployed unit and this year promises to be even bigger! We are starting
earlier this year to make sure everything can get there by Christmas.

Our contact for the deployed unit is SPC Jonathan Heer, an electrical
engineer from Cumby and engineering student at TAMU-C. His company, the
284th Engineer Company will be in Afghanistan beginning this month doing
route clearance, counter IED and convoy support, and conducting training
missions with the Afghanistan National Guard. Jonathan has let us know
some of the things his unit would like. If you would like to donate,
please see Jill Mobley in BA 272 or email her at sva at tamuc.edu.
Donations need to be received by DECEMBER 7th in order to make it to the
unit in time. You can either drop donations by the One Stop Shop or BA
272.

For those of you who are far away and would like to donate money to help
get items or send them out, we have an online donation site at
