Jeanne Clery Disclosure of Campus Security policy and Campus Crime
Statistic "Clery Act"

The Clery Act was named for Jeanne Clery, a 19-year-old Lehigh
University freshman who was raped and murdered in her campus residence
hall. Her killer was another student. Her parents believe she would
have been more cautious if she had known about other violent crimes at
Lehigh. The Clery Act has required nearly all higher education
institution to maintain and report statistic on campus crime.

The Clery Act requires colleges and universities to:

*	To have a public crime log.
*	Publish an Annual Security Report by October 1st.
*	Disclose crime statistic for incidents that occur on campus, in
unobstructed public areas immediately adjacent to or running through
campus and at certain non-campus facilities.
*	Issue timely warning about Clery Act crimes which pose a serious
or ongoing threat to employees or students.
*	Devise an emergency response, notification and testing policy.
*	Compile and report fire data to the federal government and
publish an annual fire safety report.
*	Enact policies and procedures to handle reports of missing
students.
