[Students] Paid Positions and Volunteer Opportunities with Atmos Energ/TAMUC Literacy Center

I.                    ESL Instructors for Atmos Energy/TAMUC Literacy
Center

Thanks to the generous support of Atmos Energy, the Dallas Public
Library will hire two TAMU-C students to conduct English as a Second
Language classes at the Atmos Energy Literacy Center at Dallas West
Library this fall term. 

a.       Job Details:

*         Available to teach from 12:00pm-6:00pm Tuesday-Friday;

*         Available to commit to 255 hours from September through
November;

*         Pay is $15/hour for 11-week internship;

*         Bilingual skills a plus

 

II.                  Spanish GED Instructor for Atmos Energy/TAMUC
Literacy Center

Thanks to the generous support of Atmos Energy, the Dallas Public
Library will hire one TAMU-C student to conduct Spanish GED classes at
the Atmos Energy Literacy Center at Dallas West Library this fall term. 

a.       Job Details:

*         Available to teach from 5:30pm-8:00pm Wednesdays and
Thursdays;

*         Available to commit to 54 hours from September to November;

*         Pay is $15/hour for 9-week internship;

*         Bilingual skills in English and Spanish required

 

III.                ESL Volunteers for Atmos Energy/TAMUC Literacy
Center

Additional volunteers are needed to help with supplementary literacy
programs for adults and children. Special training provided.

a.       2-4 volunteers are needed to assist or lead each of the
following:

*         Lead or assist with Saturday ESL classes from 10:00am-2:30pm
from Sept 7-Nov 23;

*         Lead or assist with Saturday Children's program from
10:00am-2:30pm from Sept 7-Nov 23;

*         Assist with evening Spanish GED preparation classes from 6-8pm
on Wednesday or Thursday nights from Sept 11-Nov 7.
