Greetings Students,

Recently, the university rolled out your new LeoMail 2.0 that is available
in your current myLEO.  This was one of a few major initiatives in updating
our university¹s technology.

While the majority of our students have been able to utilize their new
emails successfully, the Information Technology team has helped with a small
handful of issues for some students.  They are glad to report that things
are working out really well.

Now we encourage all students to continue to clean out their inboxes and
change their email contacts from @leo.tamu-commerce.edu to
@leomail.tamuc.edu so that you will not miss out on any important
communication via email you have set up outside of the university.

The next initiative is coming up real soon.  We informed you back in April
that the Texas A&M University-Commerce Portal Team will launch a new web
system at 6 a.m. on June 4. The team is a focus group that has been creating
a new myLEO portal for all students, faculty, staff and alumni.

The portal includes various new programs and features including, but not
limited to, easier navigation within the portal, more detailed and accurate
information regarding academic, financial and campus updates, a custom
messaging system and customized dashboards for user roles such as students,
online-degree-only students, graduate, faculty, staff and alumni.

To prepare for the transition for the new myLEO portal, your current myLEO
will become unavailable starting next week, June 1 at 8pm until June 4 at
6pm. During this time your myLEO will be switched off, and all applications
that are only available via myLEO will not be accessible.

eCollege, however, will be accessible throughout this entire time and can be
accessed at: http://online.tamuc.org

If you have any comments, questions or concerns about the new student email
or the portal transition that we have not covered yet, please email them to
myLEOportal at tamuc.edu.  At the same time, enjoy what our fellow students,
faculty and staff have to say about the new email and portal with the Portal
Perspective blogs. You can find these blogs at:
