REMINDER - DROP DEADLINE FOR 16 WK CLASSES IS TODAY, MARCH 30TH, 2012
*Students must be able to show proof their drop was requested to their Instructor by today's deadline.

(For other sub-term deadlines, please see Academic Calendar at http://web.tamu-commerce.edu/admissions/registrar/documents/WinterMiniSpring2012DropWithdrawalDeadlines.pdf)

WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN A "DROP" AND A "WITHDRAWAL"?
A "drop" is dropping a single class, but remaining enrolled in at least one other class. A "withdrawal" is when you are only enrolled in one class (or many classes) and need to get out of the semester entirely.

Drops now require Instructor approval to drop a class.   If you do not have any holds, you may go on to
your MyLeo (Main Page) to the "Drop A Class" option.  The request will be sent to your Instructor and a confirmation will be sent to you once the process is complete. A "Q" drop grade will be posted, but will not
affect your GPA. Students with any types of holds will need to process a Drop/Add  form manually.  Students may check their MyLeo (under Registration History) for confirmation the drop was processed since these are
not processed online. The Drop/Add form  is located under the  Registrar's website at: http://web.tamu-commerce.edu/admissions/registrar/documents/AddDropForm.pdf.

*If you are only in one class (or need to drop all of your classes for the semester), you must process a "Withdrawal"  Form.  These forms need to be turned in to the Registrar's  Office for manual processing.
Students who have already finished a sub-term class and received their grade cannot withdraw. They must drop their remaining classes if they have already finished a course. Confirmations for withdrawals can be verified through your MyLeo (under  Registration History).  Withdrawals will be processed with the date they are received in the Registrar's Office.   Withdrawal forms can be found  online at: http://web.tamu-commerce.edu/admissions/registrar/forms/default.aspx.

Please contact the Registrar's Office at 903-886-5070 for  any questions concerning dropping or withdrawing.
