Spring 2012 Hispanic Horror Film Showcase Ghosts, Monsters and Zombies with Spanish Flavor
Thursday March 29 -- The Orphanage/El orfanato (2007) A family moves to the mother's childhood home, where they open an orphanage for handicapped children. Before long, her son starts to communicate with an invisible new friend. A series of events unfold a hazardous past to be resolved by the newcomers. By Spanish director Juan Antonio Bayona.

Thursday April 19 -- The Baby's Room/La habitación del niño (2006) A happy couple moves to an old house in a fancy neighborhood in Madrid. Soon after getting settled, it turns out that they are not the only dwellers.
By Spanish cult satirical director Álex de la Iglesia (The Day of the Beast, Ferpect Crime, The Oxford Murders).

Thursday May 3 -- REC (2007)
A TV show team catches live a strange commotion in an apartment block in Barcelona. The zombie revolution will be televised. Favorably received opera prima by Spanish horror new talents Jaume Balagueró and Paco Plaza.
