I know we all expected the Summer heat to get here, but I wanted to
share a few things with everyone now that the High Temps are here.

 

1.            The National Weather Service has been doing an excellent
job posting tips for our weather situations. Please take a minute to
explore their website. http://www.srh.noaa.gov/fwd/

2.            Attached is a pdf that has some tips and actions for the
Summer Time Heat. Please pass this on to those that are exposed to the
outside temps and post in a common area.

3.            The Safety Office can provide you or your
department/organization with advise, training, or assistance
coordinating plans for outdoor activities. Please contact us to help,

4.            Please pay attention to the daily forecast, particularly
the heat index value. Things get dangerous when we are not expecting
high temps and begin work unprepared for such temps!

5.            Finally, please visit our website every Monday morning
after 9:00am

weeks forecast from the National Weather Service).
