Good Morning!
Well the rain is here and there is a lot of it. Although the rain is
very much welcomed, we need to be aware of some hazards associated with
this much rain. Please pay attention to low lying areas such as street
intersections, sidewalks, and street drains. Below are some basic
guidelines we all need to follow:
* Do not attempt to drive through areas of standing water.
* Do not use streets as your walkway, use sidewalks.
* While walking, pay attention to the traffic around you.
Driver visibility is significantly lower during this type of rain.
* While driving, adjust your speed to the conditions, drive
slower, keep the windows clear of fog, and watch out for pedestrians.
* Use caution crossing the streets. Use provided crosswalks and
pay attention to traffic.
The rain we are experiencing will slowly move out of our area early this
afternoon. However, water runoff from the rain will continue long after
the rain stops. Please use caution today and pay attention to low lying
areas!
