About the Plays: (Please be advised that these plays are intended for adult-age audience members. They contain adult language, mature content, and realistic violence. The plays are not appropriate for children.)

1000 Proms: Sally Carruthers, a seemingly happy young woman, is planning her 1976 senior prom and has vowed to make everything perfect! But, when things begin to go awry, we find that Sally's life may not be as ideal as it seems. Darkly comic in nature, this cutting-edge show also highlights the intensely dramatic results of a confused young woman's approach to finding security amidst uncertain and disturbing circumstances.

Dump Monkeys: Written by Texas A&M-Commerce's Playwright in Residence, Jim Tyler Anderson, Dump Monkeys is set in an imaginary future time when natural resources are all but depleted. Three outcast women are forced to forage for survival in a landfill, somewhere in South Texas. As dark as it is, the play is ultimately about hope and the resilience of the human spirit. Dump Monkeys was a winner in the Kennedy Center American College Theater Festival

One -Act Play Competition.

*Complimentary Opening Night Reception to Follow the Show for All Patrons of the Tuesday Night Performance!
