[Students] Student/Sodexo Summit

Greetings,

My name is Adam Haney and I am the Chair of the Student Senate. Recently, long-brewing issues regarding the University's relationship with Sodexo, Inc. were brought to a head at the last Student Forum on Wednesday, April 18. In an effort to address specific above mentioned issues, Student Government Association will host a Summit in which representatives from Student Organizations, Sodexo Staff, and the Administration will be asked to attend to discuss and negotiate settlements, in public meetings, to specific issues to be outlined in a public agenda to be pre-determined by SGA.

In order to successfully address Students' concerns in an open and public forum, the Senate needs specific issues from Students, Administration, and Sodexo to be addressed. Any personal complaints or past issues, which do not address a specific policy issue, directed at any party will not be discussed. This meeting is meant solely to find solutions to policy issues going forward. Please email specific points to be considered for the Agenda of this Summit to: SGA at cp.tamu-commerce.edu

Due to the shortage of time left in this Semester, I ask that all parties mentioned above submit the names of their chosen representatives along with the issues no later than April 27, 2012 to the SGA email account.

The meeting time is tentatively scheduled for the first week of May, so please return input no later than next Friday, April 27 so that these issues can be addressed in a timely manner.
