Students of Texas A&M University-Commerce,
If you are a Wildlife Conservation and Science major, have
an
interest in animals, or want to be part of a great
organization, come
to the first Wildlife Society meeting of this semester this
Wednesday,
September 7, at 12:30 PM in room 103 of the Science
Building.
We are a campus service organization that volunteers around
Northeast Texas in order to prepare our members for careers
in
the wildlife profession. You do not need to be a Wildlife
major to
join our society, we encourage students passionate about
people, wildlife, and volunteering to join our team. We also
hold workshops during the year for our members to gain
hands-on
experience in the field, attend the Texas Chapter of the
Wildlife
Society conference in the Spring, and collaborate
with Texas Parks and Wildlife, The Nature Conservancy, The
Army
Corps of Engineers, and other public and private
organizations on
projects to provide education and experience outside of the
classroom.
If you have questions about our society, please e-mail us at
tamu_wildlife_society at yahoo.com.
Thanks!
