[Students] Mane Event Success!!!

you, thank you, thank you!!!  What a wonderful event on Saturday!
Despite the winter temperatures and threat of rain, we saw around 1,000
guests at Mane Event Preview Day!  The efforts start early with
Marketing Communications and KETR as they enthusiastically assist us
with print, web and radio advertisements to rally an interest in this
great event!  We are so appreciative of the great academic sessions that
were hosted by faculty, the information exchange at the fair between
students, faculty, staff and families and the patience that everyone had
while we made adjustments due to the weather.  Panimation and the Pep
Band both did an outstanding job creating energy and adding to the
spirit of the day!  The Student Center team did an incredible job
providing set up for the changing needs in the building!  Our Facilities
friends are a critical part of pulling the day together and setting the
scene for our guests!  Thank you to Sodexo staff for juggling breakfast
and lunch...inside!!!  UPD kept us safe and free from accidents...thank
you!  We appreciate our teammates from Honors College, University
College and Residential Living and Learning who presented informative
and resourceful sessions on their respective areas!  Dr. Doctor kept the
mood lively as we enjoyed our lunch and time in the student center!  We
so appreciate our Lion Student Ambassadors and all of our other student
volunteers who assisted our guests throughout the day!  Enrollment
Management staff, you are the best...I am proud of you and I appreciate
each of you!!!  Thank you to each and everyone who showed their support
and assisted us in creating an atmosphere of personal attention and care
for each other and our guests!  We are off to a great start for Fall
