[Students] Summer grant program for STEM majors

The Final Stretch Grant Program for summer 2011 only!

 

The Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board has just made available this one time grant program for the summer 2011!

This is a state-wide program only 2,000 awards will be available on a 1st-come, 1st served basis.

 

PURPOSE:      Provide Grants to students with financial need who have completed 60 hours towards a degree.

AMOUNT:      $2,000 grant - one time awards 

SEMESTER:     Summer 2011 ONLY 

ELIGIBILITY:   U.S. citizen or permanent U.S. resident

                        Texas resident only

                        Must have received a federal Pell Grant in the 2010 - 2011 year

                        Junior or senior level (must have completed at least 60 college credit hours)

                        Enroll full-time in a public or private community college, university 

                        Priority consideration must be given to students pursuing degrees in STEM majors

§  Computer and Information Sciences and Support Services

§  Engineering

§  Mathematics

§  Biological and Physical Sciences
