INVISIBLE CHILDREN BOOK DRIVE!
MONDAY, APRIL 25, 2011 9am - 5pm in the Student Center
atrium!
The war in Northern Uganda has been called the most
neglected humanitarian emergency in the world today. For the
past 23 years, the Lords Resistance Army (LRA) and the
Government of Uganda (GoU) have been waging a war that has
left nearly two million innocent civilians caught in the
middle. The GoU's attempt to protect its citizens from this
rebel militia has largely failed, resulting in an entire
generation of youth that has never known peace.
Invisible Children is a movement seeking to end the conflict
in uganda and stop the abduction of children for use as
child soldiers.
We want to revolutionize the way people think about books
how they are bought, sold, reused, valued. This year, we
have three important ways to get you involved. Your work can
transform books into the funds needed to rebuild schools and
provide scholarships to students in northern Uganda.
We will be in the Student Center Monday April 25, 2011 from
9am- 5pm. for those who want to donate or sell your text
book, as well as other books, to Invisible Children.
Unwanted books become the means to rebuild schools and
provide scholarships to students in Northern Uganda.
Please come out and give or sell your unwanted books and
remember the school won't buy them back at a price worth
selling.
