  Sodexo Pumpkin Decorating Contest

 

To round off the autumn season, Sodexo will be partnering with the
Student Board of Directors to host a pumpkin decorating contest in the
Dining Room on Thursday, October 28th.

Students on meal plans and guests who purchase a meal at the time of the
event are welcome to one (1) pumpkin at no charge from Sodexo, while
supplies last. In addition, meal plan participants or those who will
purchase a meal at the time of the event are welcome to bring their own
undecorated, uncarved pumpkin to the contest.

The contest will be held during two meal periods on Thursday, October
28th, 2010. The times are during lunch (11:00am-2:30pm) and dinner
(4:00pm-7:15pm). A maximum of 4 students will be allowed to
decorate/carve at one time. The first 11 students during each period
will be given a free pumpkin to decorate and carve.

A few basic carving kits will be provided during the time of the event.
However, it is strongly recommended that each participant bring their
own carving equipment as well as supplies to decorate their pumpkin.

Each decorated/carved pumpkin should fit one of three categories: Funny;
Scary; Original. The judging (done by the Student Board of Directors)
will be held on October 28th, where three total winners will be chosen,
one from each category. These winners will receive a fully-stocked prize
basket appropriate to their category. (For instance, the winner of the
Funny category might receive a joke book, a fake moustache, etc.)
