[Students] Orientation Hold on your account?

Attention A&M-Commerce students,

 

Do you have an orientation hold on your registration account?

 

If you are an undergraduate student attending the main campus (Commerce,
TX) and you do, then it means you have not completed the mandatory new
student orientation process. All new students attending the Commerce
main campus, transfers and freshmen, are required by University policy
to complete an orientation. 

 

Please note that new students are only able to register by attending one
of these sessions and the orientation hold will not be removed until you
have attended and completed an orientation session. So if you have a
hold and need to make-up this orientation process please do so ASAP in
order to clear your account. 

 

The following dates have been set as the Spring 2010 New Student
Orientation sessions:

 

*         Wednesday November 17 from 5:00pm-8:30pm (there is still
space! Deadline to sign-up for this session is Tuesday November 16 @
5:00pm)

 

*         Saturday December 11 from 8:00am-12:00pm (deadline to sign-up
is Thursday December 9 @ 5:00pm unless spots are filled prior to this
date)

 

*         Wednesday January 12 from 5:00pm-8:30pm (deadline to sign-up
is Monday January 10 @ 5:00pm unless spots are filled prior to this
date)

 

In order to attend one of these sessions you MUST have a reservation and
be confirmed for a spot. To sign up and for more information, please
visit the New Student Orientation website at 
www.tamu-commerce.edu/orientation. Do not delay, space is limited and it
is first-come-first-served!

Orientation will provide you with the opportunity to:

*         Meet with and receive academic advising from your Success
Coach or your Academic Advisor/Mentor

*         Register for the appropriate coursework for the upcoming
semester

*         Acquire information on tuition and fees, financial aid status,
scholarship awards, and payment options

*         Learn about the services and resources available to support
your academic success

*         Familiarize yourself with the policies and procedures of the
University
