[Students] Environmental Science Scholarship Opportunity

[eball]

Attention Environmental Science Majors!!!

Pi of Texas Alumni Association for Phi Theta Kappa will be
awarding three, one-time scholarships. We will award the 1st
place winner a scholarship in the amount of $600.00. The 2nd
and 3rd place winners will receive $300 each.

Any Environmental Science major interested in participating
in this contest will need to submit a display board to us,
along with three references. The topic is ‘Ways to Improve
the Campus Environment.’ The display boards will be judged
based on creativity, presentation, and generality (the
ability of the idea(s) to actually be implemented). In other
words, the ideas need to be realistic. The displays need to
be submitted to us by Sunday, April 11th at 1:30 p.m. They
will be judged during our meetings from 2 pm – 4 pm on
that date in Vision on the 2nd floor of the student center.
The contest participants are encouraged to bring them at
that time and be there to explain their display and answer
any questions. Displays will be voted on by all members
present at the meeting, but the executive board will have
final say.

Once the winners are decided on, we will send out a letter
to each winner.

Students wishing to enter, but not wanting to bring the
displays to the meeting, may contact me by e-mail at
Erika_Ball at tamu-commerce.edu to arrange a time to get it to
me. Also feel free to contact me with any questions you may
have.

We look forward to seeing some great and creative work!
