Eustace Conway is a unique naturalist. After camping alone in the woods
for a week at the age of 12, he decided at age 17 to move out of his
home, into a teepee. One year later he canoed 1,000 miles on the
Mississippi River, later going on to complete the 2,000 mile Appalachian
Trail eating only what he found on the trail.
Today Eustace owns and operates Turtle Island Preserve, an environmental
education center and 1,000 acre wildlife preserve near Boone, NC. There
he brings his wealth of experiences and passions together, encouraging
anyone who will listen to identify the significance of our connection to
the surrounding environment.
Come out to experience this once in a lifetime event!
