Lion Movers
Wednesday, August 25, 2010
It's almost fall and that bodes one question. . .
Are You Ready For Some Students?!!
As in years past the Lion Movers program is gearing up to help our
resident students to move in for the upcoming academic year!
Volunteers are needed from the faculty, staff, our athletic teams, and
student organizations. Besides helping residents and their families
carry their belongings we need greeters, building captains, etc so if
you are unable to carry please let us know there is a spot for everyone.
For those student organizations who want to help please provide the
department with a list of those students names and CWID numbers who will
be volunteering and they can move in the day before on Tuesday, August
24th.
The residence halls open on Wednesday, August 25th! The Lion Movers
schedule will be in two hour shifts: 10 a.m. to noon; noon to 2 p.m.; 2
p.m. to 4 p.m.; and 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. We are only asking our volunteers
to work one two hour shift, but if you want to have extended fun then
just let us know that you want to volunteer for an additional shift.
There will be a Lion Movers volunteer meeting that everyone will need to
come to on Tuesday, August 24. The meetings will only last 20 minutes
and you can select from one of two times; 4 p.m. or 6 p.m. in room 107
of Halladay Student Services. If these times are bad for you we can set
up an alternative time.
Everyone's time and energy is greatly appreciated! Let's make this a
great beginning to an incredible new year!!
Please contact Liz Powell at liz_powell at tamu-commerce.edu or extension
5798 to volunteer or if you have questions.
Thank you for sharing your PRIDE!
