The play is AMERICAN MOSAIC: CLASSIC CHAMBER THEATRE TALES

Conceived, Adapted, and Staged by John Hanners

Chamber Theatre brings short stories and novels to life
through actors, dialogue and staging. A story's narrator
transforms into a character played by one or more actors.
Unlike traditional theatre, the action of the play takes
place in the audience's mind, not on the stage. This vivid
theatrical style pulls a spectator into the life of the
characters and together the audience and the actor create
the event.

AMERICAN MOSAIC dramatizes the following stories:

"The Waltz," Dorothy Parker-a satirical look at
dating, dancing, and relationships.

"Boo Hag: An East Texas Folktale," S.E.
Schlosser-Bobby goes searching for an East Texas bride and
gets more than he ever bargained for.

"Q: A Psychic Pstory of the Psupernatural," Stephen
Leacock-a hilarious satire about a man who believes he's
solved t he ESP problem, only to discover things aren't
always what they seem.

"The Dream of an Hour, Kate Chopin-a transforming story
about a New Orleans woman who believe her husband has been
killed and looks to a life of--

"The Woman Who Turned into a Fish," Nin Andrews-the
story of a woman tired of marriage, life and housework who
imagines herself in another, secret, place.

"The Death of the Hired Man," Robert
Frost-dramatization of Frost's famous dramatic poem
about a kindly farm couple who take in their old worker and
learn new lessons about life, work and honor.

"Love is a Fallacy," Max Shulman-Dobie Gillis, a
pre-law major who knows everything, loves Polly Espy, but
she's going steady with Petey Bellows. What's he to do?
The answer is American humor at its best.
