Office of Diversity & Cultural Affairs, Counseling Center, Student
Health Services, ANGLS presents:

Diversity in Dialogue discussion and Thought Wall

Join us for World AIDS Day events: World AIDS Day was initiated December
1st, 1988 and is about increasing awareness, fighting prejudice and
improving education to all populations. According to UNAIDS estimates,
there are now 33.2 million people living with HIV, including 2.5 million
children. A vast majority of people with HIV/AIDS live in lower- and
middle-income countries. But HIV today is a threat to men, women and
children all over the world.

World AIDS Day is important in reminding people that HIV continues to
impact our families, our communities and our world. Texas A&M
University-Commerce welcomes you to take part in a campus wide event to
continue the discussion on HIV/AIDS. Presenters will discuss The Impact
of HIV/AIDS on Central America, the Caribbean and the U.S. Students,
faculty and staff are invited to take part in a discussion hosted by the
Diversity in Dialogue representatives, an information table and a
Thought Wall. The wall will allow for each person to share words of
encouragement and empowerment to those affected with the global
pandemic.
