Mr. Wu, an entrepreneur who started the Shandong Shanzhu Pharmaceutical
Group in China in 1994 will be on our campus next week to discuss a book
he has written about labor.  . 

 

He also serves as chairman of the Beijing Genetic Engineering Research
Institute, the Beijing Norton Biology Research Institute, and the
Biology Research Institute for Treasury Animals. 

 

His pharmaceutical group has 22 production enterprises, 600 subsidiary
companies and 2,200 agency offices.

.  The roundtable will be an opportunity for Mr. Wu to meet and discuss
with Professors and students alike, his theories on economic
development, management, and consumption from an entrepreneur and
globalist perspective. 

 

Wu has nine individual invention patents and one international patent.
He has turned six patents into consumer products. Wu has been nominated
as a national entrepreneur for his meritorious service to China's
developing market economy by the Chinese Government and the WTO.
