[Students] Date for Cheerleading Tryouts for 2008-09 Changed

The Texas A&M University-Commerce cheerleading team will be holding tryouts
for the 2008-09 squad on April 26, at 10 am at the A&M-Commerce Field House.

All participants must arrive no later than 9:45 a.m., and have with them a
tryout application that is available for download at www.lionathletics.com,
and an acceptance letter to A&M-Commerce, if they are an incoming freshmen
or a transfer student. Also, participants must have prepared one cheer and
chant to perform in front of the judges, along with three jumps of their
choosing, and be prepared to tumble (if applicable).

As part of the tryout application, applicants are asked about their
cheerleading experience, including tumbling and stunting experience.

All applicants must have a 2.0 GPA or have been accepted to A&M-C.
Applicants are not allowed to be on academic suspension or probation.
Failure to meet these requirements will result in disqualification from
participation.
