[Students] Tailgate Party - September 1

[Jane Martyn]

The excitement of football will be in the air as Texas A&M
University-Commerce alumni, students, and friends build spirit for the Lions
team as they meet for the October 13 tailgate party.

The fun begins early on the West Lawn with the Chili Cookoff sponsored by
Breakout Entertainment on the West Lawn of the Sam Rayburn Memorial Student
Center. Judging will begin at noon. There will be a DJ on stage playing
music for your listening pleasure.

The student spirit contest for this game is sponsored by the Assistant Vice
President and Dean of Student Affairs office. $200 will go to the 1st place
winner and $100 to the 2nd place winner. Student organizations must be
present at Tailgate and at the game to be eligible to win.

Sodexho will offer an Octoberfest menu for $6.50 to be served on the West
Lawn. Students will also be served their dining plan meal on the lawn. Be
there early to cheer on the team as they walk to the stadium.
