Hi All,

The Chemistry Club (Student Affiliates of the American Chemical Society at
Texas A&M-Commerce, SAACS at TAMU-C), will be making rounds this week to
collect the Box Tops that have been donated at departmental and
administrative offices on campus. If you have not done so yet, please bring
your donations in by Wednesday. We would like to have all donations
collected by Friday.

The Box Tops drive will be a continuing effort. We aim to collect donations
once a month and then make a monthly donation to a local school. Will will
spread the wealth around in order to help more schools and to encourage more
schools to start their own Box Tops drives if they do not already do so.

In case you are not familiar with the program, details describing the
program are listed below:

To learn more about Box Tops, please visit the following website:
http://www.boxtops4education.com/index.aspx

A picture of a Box Top is attached to this e-mail. You can clip Box Tops
from hundreds of participating brands (see the web site above for a complete
list of products) such as cereal boxes (General Mills, Millsberry, others),
Pillsbury products (biscuits, Go-Gurt), Betty Crocker, Old El Paso, Ziploc,
Saran wrap, Cottonelle, Kleenex, Scott, Hefty...they are literally on
hundreds of products....before you throw a wrapping/container/box away, look
to see if it has a Box Top on it. If it does, please clip it and donate it,
otherwise you are throwing money away that could benefit a school!!

Last year, Ruby F Carver Elementary School in Richmond Virginia made $21,823
in earnings from Box Tops...they were the highest earning school!

To participate, clip your Box Tops, bring them to campus and donate them by
placing them in the large envelope that we placed in all departmental and
main administrative offices on campus. Each month we will collect the Box
Tops and donate them. You can also campus mail your Box Tops to Stephen
Starnes, Chemistry Department, Box 3011.

Thanks for your help in supporting this initiative.

We would appreciate you passing along this information to all staff and
students in your department.

All the best,

Stephen D. Starnes
