Guidelines for Vehicles on the Walking Mall

 

The development of the Walking Mall sidewalks (highlighted with a stamped
red-brick accent) from the Journalism Bldg. past AG/IT Bldg., along the back
of the BA Bldg. and the area in front of the BA, is nearly complete. To
extend the life and maintain the appearance of this project the following
guidelines for vehicle access will be enforced:

 

1.	No carts, trucks or heavy equipment will be allowed on (or across)
the Walking Mall except to handle life safety issues or work repairs
(Facilities will coordinate access for any campus activity or contractors
brought on campus).
2.	University personnel in carts are encouraged to use alternate routes
for traveling across campus.
3.	The use of skateboards, roller blades, bikes or other extreme sports
equipment on Walking Mall furniture is prohibited. 
4.	The University Police Department will enforce these guidelines and
report infractions to department heads or the Dean of Students, as
appropriate.
