  _____

National Depression Screening Day
October 5, 2006

National Depression Screening Day is a public education program, and
thousands of people will be participating in screenings at college campuses
around the country.

The goal is to educate people about the signs of depression,
manic-depression, and suicide. You can learn how to get help for yourself
or a friend.

The Counseling Center is conducting anonymous screenings (no names
requested), along with confidential interviews, on the A&M-Commerce campus
throughout the week of October 2-6.

On-line screenings for depression, alcohol, eating disorders, etc. are
available at <http://www.tamu-commerce.edu/counseling_center>
