[Students] Homecoming this weekend!

[Stephanie Peebles]

Homecoming weekend 2006 is quickly approaching. It will be an exciting time
to meet alumni and support our winning football team. Our theme for 2006 is
Remembering the Past-Connecting the Present-Celebrating the Future. Plan to
join us October 27-28.

On Friday evening, Lion fans can show their spirit at the Homecoming Pep
Rally and Bonfire. The pep rally will begin at 8 p.m. behind Whitley Hall
followed by the bonfire. Cash prizes of $100, $200 and $300 will be given to
the most spirited student organizations. Alumni and university friends are
also invited to the

pep rally and bonfire.

Join us at the tailgate event on the West Lawn Saturday, October 28 for
Homecoming 2006, from 12:00 to 2:00 p.m., to meet and visit with successful
alumni authors and artists. Joining us this year are local alumnus authors

Joane Walvoord. Additional writers and poets include Angeline Hawkes, Dr.
Cleatus Rattan, Susan Sikes, April Morris, Rosalie Turner, Evelyn Kelly, and
