Here is the information you need about the upcoming Second Annual Bill
Martin Jr Memorial Symposium set for April 28, 2006 on the Texas A&M
University-Commerce campus. We hope you come for a stimulating day of
literacy, learning, and sharing with colleagues and other professionals
committed to the values that Bill Martin Jr's life and work represented.
This year's keynote and luncheon speaker is Jose Aruego, long time
friend and colleague of Bill Martin Jr and author/illustrator of more
than 115 books including Whose Mouse are You? and Leo the Late Bloomer.
We believe you will be both intrigued and delighted with his engaging
and thought provoking presentations. Breakout sessions on "hot topics"
in education, as well as tours of the Bill Martin Jr Library are
scheduled for the morning and the afternoon. A new event this year is
the opportunity to tour TAMU-C's new planetarium! A delicious lunch is
included with your registration fee and certificates will be given for
six hours of CEU credit to document your attendance.
So,...please visit our Symposium website to learn more; and, we hope
you'll print the registration form and send it in soon. Presenter
Proposal and Vendor information, along with contact e-mails are also
included. All of this information is posted on our website:
http://www.tamu-commerce.edu/eled/BMj_Symposium.htm. Please share the
information with your colleagues and bring as many as possible with you
to this literacy event.
Best regards,
