We anticipate that Homecoming 2005 "Proud Legacy - Bright Future" will be a
big success and we would like to invite you to attend all of the activities
during Homecoming Week.  You can visit the University website for a complete
schedule.  

 

You are invited to attend the Alumni Association Homecoming Breakfast on
Saturday, October 22, at 8:30 a.m. in the Texas Ballroom.  Tickets are
$10.00 each (student tickets are $5.00).  Please RSVP to the Alumni
Relations office at 886-5792 by Friday, October 14.

 

At the Homecoming breakfast, we will honor Dr. Thomas Huddleston, Jr. (BS
'62, MA '64) and Dr. Daniel Moore (BMED '81) with the Distinguished Alumni
Citation.  The Gold Blazer Award Recipients are Dr. Jack G. Pirkey (BS '58,
MEd '65, PhD '70) and Mr. Jerry "Jace" Carrington (BS '61).

 

Additional activities after breakfast include the Mayo Memorial Service at
11:00 a.m., Lion Statue Dedication at 11:45 on the South side of the Library
and the Alumni Author Book Signing and Artist Fair held in the Founder's
Lounge from 10:30 - 1:30.  The Tailgate festivities begin at 12 noon on the
West Lawn with Odell Gray and Big Jack and the Conspiracy Band.

 

Please join us in hosting our alumni while they are back on campus.
