Subject: Important Information from the UPD

 

On November 11th, a student was walking through the tunnel under Highway 50
when he was approached by three individuals who demanded he turn over his
book bag to them.  The individuals attempted to grab the victim's bag.  A
scuffle ensued during which, one of the suspects was hit in the face by the
victim.  All three suspects fled on foot without having obtained any
property.  The suspects are described as black males, all wearing dark pants
and jackets.  Some of the suspects may have been wearing silver necklaces.  

 

Anyone with information about this, or any other crime should contact the
University Police Department at 903-886-5868 or email Sgt. Bryan Vaughn at
Bryan_Vaughn at tamu-commerce.edu <mailto:Bryan_Vaughn at tamu-commerce.edu> .  

 

The University Police Department recommends that anyone needing to cross the
highway either drive, or walk in the tunnel with a partner.
