Hello everyone!
SPS is very excited to partake in the department's Physics Day this Saturday. We are currently looking for volunteers for the following events:
10:00- 10:45 am Challenge in Room 135.
This is where we get to know the visiting students with a secret group challenge activity! After setting up you are more then welcome to partake in the challenge yourself, it will be very fun!
1:15- 2:00 pm Physics Demonstrations in Room 146.
This is where we need the bulk of our helpers. Our physics demonstrations consist of similar activities that were shown during our demonstrations day.
2:00- 2:30 Panel Discussion.
This event is only for those who have volunteered beforehand through Melanie. (These participants do not need to fill out the doodle-poll.)
If you could please let me know through the doodle-poll link (http://doodle.com/poll/5efipnu4r6kpvy5i) what time you can volunteer, I would be grateful.<http://doodle.com/poll/5efipnu4r6kpvy5i> Volunteers are welcome to lunch and to stay for the whole event. It is a good opportunity to get to know other physics professors and see what research topics they are pursuing. We will also be setting up the demos Friday evening around 5 pm if you want to help out or learn more about the demonstrations we have.
Thank you and please email me if you have any questions or concerns,
