I'd like to give a huge thank you to those who helped with the demos for the group of "future physicist" fourth graders yesterday - it was a great success, and the kids were very excited about all our experiments.

Also, I received some great news this week. We received a "Distinguished SPS Chapter" award from the national SPS council for the "Depth and Breadth" of our SPS activities for the 2014-2015 year. To my knowledge, this is the first time our chapter has received this award. We have a certificate which we'll put up on our display board, and will get a shout out in the SPS Observer. This is all down to your hard work in all the outreach activities you've helped out in and organized over the past year. Particular thanks to Chris Voss who led the writing of the report on our activities, without which our activities would have gone unnoticed.

Now that we're go this, we don't want to let it go. We've already done a impressive amount this year, and will continue to do so this semester. We'll be sure to submit a report this summer, and see if we can make it two years in a row.

Thanks again!

Will Newton
