Today, I ran a reaction to take the chiral amine {
(1S,2S)-(+)-1,2-diaminocyclohexane } to react with octyl isocyanate to make
the side chain on the mononitro tetraphenyl porphyrin.
I also waded through the red tape so we may possibly get into the rec center
tonight.  We shall see if it actually works.  On a lighter note, A man had a
chicken and it got very sick, so he hired a biologist, a chemist, and a
physicist to see what was wrong with it.  The biologist set up his test and
came up with nothing.  The chemist set up some experiments and found
nothing.  The physicist worked some problems. and  eventually he said, "I
have the solution, but it only works for a spherical chicken in a vacuum.
