Today I checked my tadpoles under the wide-field fluorescent microscope.  
The ones kept in the incubator at 28 degrees Celsius did not have brighter 
fluorescence than the day before.  I took both groups of tadpoles (the 
incubated ones and the ones at room temperature) down to the confocal 
microscope room.  I had made a Frog Saline Solution today and also a 
glutamate solution and set them both up in the perfusion system.  I 
dissected out 3 brains to try to do some imaging.  The 1st 2 brains did not 
work due to complications, but I was able to get some (not very good) images 
from the 3rd brain.  Still having problems with the brain moving during 
imaging (due to the nylon on the weights vibrating in the flow of fluid).  I 
also did some more injections/electroporations and found some more journal 
articles.  I just got back from the lab and will begin reviewing these new 
articles and begin working on my introduction tonight and tomorrow morning.
