Monday, July 23

I did some injections and electroporations.  I spent much of the day doing 
literature searches and reviews and attended the 3:00 session on how to 
write the progress report.

Tuesday, July 24

I checked the specimens under the wide-field fluorescent microscope to see 
how my transfections were.  Was disappointed with the results.  I placed the 
"okay" specimens in the incubator to see if a different temperature would 
help the protein unfold, thus giving more fluorescence.  Will check the 
results tomorrow.  I also did some more injections/electroporations to keep 
at room temperature to compare to the specimens in the incubator.

I worked on the perfusion system some more down in the confocal microscope 
room.  Some glitches needed to be worked out.  We ended up using the 
perfusion box that we did not originally think would work.
