<div dir="ltr">Hey y'all, <div><br></div><div>I hope everyone's spring break was restful and enjoyable. I am sending this email to touch base with everyone with everything we talked about before break started. </div><div><br></div><div>1. SPS Officer Elections:</div><div>Since we will be having officer elections this semester, we need to start nominating students for officer positions. While our chapter is made up of mostly undergraduates, we do have graduate students as members as well. All are welcome to nominate others or themselves as long as they will be present the entire 2023-2024 academic year. Here is the nomination form link: </div><div><a href="https://urldefense.proofpoint.com/v2/url?u=https-3A__docs.google.com_forms_d_e_1FAIpQLSc-2D12efy2Dll6HyOGj3b7Bc81NInx0iSc-5FZkm2BO8L5iNv-2DWw_viewform-3Fusp-3Dsf-5Flink&d=DwMFaQ&c=oqyuZuih6ykib6aKiBq22_bich4AVfYGoLertJN0bEc&r=zR45CGBLdduIV4jIB6WGZAn8tVItG8Qcck8cmBEBvAA&m=bT5pwnyCtYXlVOruZW19GVZBlh1B0_6tLK61CR9clzRIq6BVmL8rp4mofyDo42Em&s=JkNwqdbpE2PkMdelSy8YnnkoZ6V93KQyfHlrMRxXabc&e=">https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSc-12efy2Dll6HyOGj3b7Bc81NInx0iSc_Zkm2BO8L5iNv-Ww/viewform?usp=sf_link</a></div><div><br></div><div>2. Zone 13 AZC Nomination From TAMUC</div><div>We have nominated Makayla Teer for the Associate Zone Counselor position for our Zone, which is Zone 13. SPS is an international organization split into 18 zones and Zone 13 is all of Texas. Our current Vice President, Zorayda Martinez, has held this position for the last year and we will need to meet a little later in the semester to vote as a chapter. </div><div><br></div><div>3. Annual SPS Bake Sale</div><div>We would like to have our regular Bake Sale during the last week of classes before Finals week this semester. I am awaiting a response from Jeremy Sippel as to if the scheduling of that fundraiser is kosher with student organization rules and guidelines. As soon as we finalize days and times for the bake sale, we will send out a form for volunteers to bring baked goods as well as volunteers to work the table. </div><div><br></div><div>4. TSAPS, TSAAPT, SPS Zone Meeting</div><div>We will be having SPS Night on Thursday, 3/23 from 7:00-9:00 PM. I know this is a little later than our usual meeting time, but we would like all of our available members to attend. This will be a unique opportunity to interact with members from SPS chapters from all over Texas. </div><div><br></div><div>Thank you all for your patience and involvement in SPS here at TAMUC. </div><div><br></div><div>James Hirons</div><div>SPS TAMUC Chapter President</div></div>
