of American Physical Society. His research direction is multi-wavelength, multi-messenger, transient high-energy astrophysics. His latest research interests include electromagnetic counterparts of gravitational waves, fast radio bursts and gamma-ray bursts.
He has published over 400 refereed papers with more than 24000 citations. </span>

<span style="font-size: 12pt; font-family: Cambria, serif; vertical-align: baseline; white-space: pre-wrap;">I will discuss several expected electromagnetic (EM) counterparts of gravitational wave (GW) events, including short gamma-ray bursts, their afterglows,
and kilonovae. I will discuss how GW170817/GRB 170817A/AT2017gfo have confirmed these predictions and raised additional open questions in understanding EM counterparts of GWs. Finally, I will discuss several yet-discovered EM signals possibly associated with
GW events.</span></p>
