Good morning everyone,
Sandy arrived this morning to find a very wet and messy spill around the coffee area. This is not cool.
The Department is happy to provide coffee for all faculty and physics students during normal working hours, and Sandy is always happy to make a fresh pot if it is needed during the day.
If it is after hours and you wish to make a pot of coffee, you are welcome to do so, but we ask the following:
* Please provide your own coffee grounds. As you know if you drink coffee right now, grounds are expensive, and the department budget is already tightly constrained. We go through grounds very quickly as it is.
* Please talk to Sandy or me about the details of how to make a pot of coffee. It is very straightforward, but the machine does have a few quirks that can lead to unintentional messes if not used properly.
* If you do spill anything, be it coffee, grounds, or just water, please clean it up. The office kitchen is a shared space, and neither the janitorial staff or Sandy are responsible for cleaning food messes.
Thank you for being good stewards of this shared resource!
Cheers,
Dr. Williams
