[phas-undergrad] Lunch with the Colloquium Speaker and Other Announcements

[Nicholas Cox]

Hello everyone,

My name is Nicholas and I am the undergraduate representative for the
Physics Department, as well as SPS President.

I wanted to let you all know that every Thursday that we have a colloquium
speaker, four undergraduates are invited to participate in a free lunch
(more can come but they'll have to pay to get into the caf). This week, we
will be meeting with Dr. Yue Den, as you already know if you're in
colloquium, and her abstract is attached to this email. If you are
interested in attending the lunch, let me know, it will take place on
Thursday the 25th at 12:15pm and we will be meeting in STC 106.

Another thing, I wanted to invite you all to our SPS events, which take
place every other week on Wednesdays at 5:30 pm in STC 111. Our next
meeting is on October 1st where we will have a game based around trivia
(we're still working on the details).

Finally, as the student undergraduate representative, if there are any
issues that you feel need to be brought up to the department, please get in
contact with me, as I am allowed to attend some faculty meetings where
these concerns can be addressed directly.

Have a great rest of your day,
Nicholas Cox
