[phas-undergrad] New System Regulation 15.99.08 Artificial Intelligence in Research

The following paragraph was sent out from College Station today; it is an official system regulation that went into effect yesterday regarding the use of Artificial Intelligence (AI), especially generative AI, in research.  We are all required to follow this regulation, but for the most part it appears reasonable and not onerous.

New System Regulation 15.99.08, Artificial Intelligence in Research<https://policies.tamus.edu/15-99-08.pdf>, was approved by the chancellor, effective September 4, 2025.  This new regulation establishes a framework to guide the ethical, responsible and innovative use of generative and other artificial intelligence for research-related purposes.
