[phas-undergrad] Physics Day Volunteering and Other Announcements

Hello everyone,

I just wanted to make you all aware that our department is hosting physics
day this Saturday on the 18th. This is an event where we bring high school
students on campus and show them around the department. During the day, we
will be conducting lab tours, showing physics demos, and hosting a Q&A
session for the high schoolers to ask questions to undergraduates about our
department. If you would like to help out, please sign up through the form
below (there is also the opportunity to help SPS at the homecoming tailgate
where we will serve liquid nitrogen ice cream). There is also a
rudimentary schedule attached to this email.

Additionally, our SPS meeting this week will be focussing on preparing for
Physics Day, we will be meeting on Wednesday the 14th at 5:30 pm in the
Physics Lounge (STC111). We will be going through the demos that we will be
presenting in this meeting, and snacks and drinks will be provided. If you
would like to help, but feel unsure as to where you could pitch in, then
this is a good time to find a place for you.

Finally, as the undergraduate student representative, if there is anything
that you feel needs to be brought up to the department, let me know and I
will pass that information on.
