[phas-undergrad] Physics Today articles on careers

[Kurtis Williams]

Hello everyone,

This month's issue of Physics Today is their annual career issue. Since I know few of you receive the magazine, here are PDF files containing their three main articles.

What Can Physicists Do highlights several physicists who have gone on to careers outside of academia, including how they made the decision to leave academia, what skills they routinely use, and what advice they would have for you.

Landing a Job in the Private Sector discusses what most professors, including myself, know little about. What are jobs looking for? What do you need to know about a job ahead of time? What do you talk about in interviews? What should you put in a resume?

Finally, A Home Base for Your Career discusses professional societies and how they can help you prepare for your career.

Cheers,
Dr. Williams
