[phas-undergrad] College of Science and Engineering Career Fair

[Kurtis Williams]

Good afternoon everyone,

The College of Science and Engineering will be hosting a career fair on Wednesday, September 18 from 9am-12pm in the Sam Rayburn Center (2nd floor). All y'all are invited to attend - you can just drop by any time you are free.

If you are looking for potential internships, summer jobs, or permanent jobs, bring your resume and talk with recruiters from several area tech companies looking specifically for scientists like you.

If you are not currently looking for a job, feel free to go anyway, talk to some of the recruiters, learn about possible careers, and just do a little networking! Ask what skills they are looking for in new hires so you can work on them between now and graduation. Even if you are thinking about attending grad school, it is a positive thing to see the opportunities available for you.

There's no need to stress about this at all, even if the thought of job hunting makes you nervous. The career fair brings employers looking for people like you - they will be selling their companies to you, not vice-versa.

Cheers,
Dr. Williams
